FILMMAKER

Spanning the absurd to the insightful, collaborating with global creatives in UK and China. He directed the acclaimed documentary Extravaganza, which has screened at over 30 festivals globally. He is an Associate Producer on the award-winning The Six, the untold story of the Chinese survivors of Titanic, executive produced by Oscar-winner James Cameron.

 

COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION

Articulating and actualising corporate vision for the consumer in the Chinese market. Concepts and copy. As Creative Director, he has developed projects for clients including Apple, L'Oréal and Disney.

 

FILM FESTIVALS

Delivering dynamic and visceral cinematic experiences with an eye on community engagement and social conscience. He launched ShanghaiPRIDE Film Festival as an internationally recognised film season, and was festival director for two years.

He co-founded CINEMQ, an underground queer cinema collective that promotes broader awareness of queer film in China, and generates discussion on queer Chinese experience and perspectives through screen culture. CINEMQ has been recognised for its innovative approach to agitating for queer visibility.​
